Is the SSC Ultimate Aero just faster than the Bugatti Veyron because the body is all carbon fiber?

I'm just wondering because both are twin turbo charged engines, but the Aero engine is half the size. What's the deal, how does this work?|||What it is though is the aero has nothing in the car its pretty much the engine body rims n tire n tranny... And the bugatti is LIMITED to the top speed it has reached its can do more and I'm sure it could. But for what? Just so that is could beat some piece of **** car w a vette engine. The bugatti has class n style.|||The Bugatti Veyron has 1001hp the SSC has 1183hp, overkill don't you think to only go a few extra mph?

Weight rarely has anything significant to do with top speed. The Lotus Exige/Elise weighs almost nothing and tops out at 125mph with a Toyota engine that probably gets the Corolla going that fast.|||the bugatti has a quad (4) turbo 16 cylinder engine while the ssc has a twin turbo v8. the ssc makes about 200 hp more than the bugatti and it has a much lighter frame due to the carbon fiber. the ssc only goes 4 more mph, but the phisics of that makes it a very big difference|||the ssc has a twin-turbocharged v8, while the bugatti has a quad-turbo W16, so I don't know how you can compare the two. The ssc is completely different in terms of nearly everything when compared to the bugatti. I don't see what your point is...|||The aero extracts more horsepower from the v8, getting even more than the veyron. The aero is also lighter, because the veyron is loaded with luxury options.
