Can someone confirm the Bugatti Veyron is not the fastest car in the world?

My friends don't believe me when i said that there was a car faster than the Bugatti Veyron. I said it was the SSC Ultimate Aero and they said it didnt even exist and if it did it is faster. Someone Help Please!!!|||Hi

The SSC Aero did hold the record for a while, but the Veyron SS took the honors back a year or two ago.
